Testimonials
We were so pleased working with Ariel as our doula through the birth of our son, Oscar. I planned a home birth after becoming disenchanted with the hospital system, but after 32 hours of labor, I was transferred to the hospital. Ariel was by my side every step of the journey. There was one critical moment when I learned I would need a C-section—my worst fear—and Ariel guided me through the decision with calmness, a resurgence of my instinct, and compassion, grounding me in thoughts of what was best for both me and the baby. In that moment, it was invaluable that she had experience with both home and hospital births. Ariel helped me focus on my body, my breath, and the life that was about to come out of me with comfort and ease. I wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone who wants to connect more deeply with their voice, strength, and intuition, and who would benefit from a calm yet powerfully supportive presence by their side.

“Having Ariel as my doula as a first time mom, was extremely beneficial. My newborn wouldn’t latch and I did all the lactation support from the hospital while I was there and after I was released. I wish I called Ariel sooner but I’m grateful I did. Her holistic approach, experience, and calm energy are perfect for nervous first time moms. She has even inspired me to becoming a doula one day. I hope to be a support system for families like she was for mine.”

“Ariel visited us for a "pre-partum" session before the baby was born and consulted us on birth plan, hospital expectations and what to expect in the first few days once we were home with the baby. Post-partum, she was there for our baby's first bath, cooked nutritious, delicious meals, massaged mom and baby in the early days, and helped us get him to sleep. We had a tough time early on with feeding, and Ariel was an incredible resource in offering guidance, adjusting positions, observing latching, etc. I'm not sure we would have stuck with breastfeeding without her support, and we are so glad we did. More generally, Ariel struck a perfect tone of offering gentle, knowledgeable guidance during the first few months that helped us feel a lot more confident as first time parents.”

“Ariel was a godsend for me in my early postpartum period. We didn’t have any family help and my husband Alex is an entrepreneur and could only take about a week off after our baby Lawrence was born, so I felt very alone and overwhelmed. I felt such relief when Ariel first came and I could deeply rest for the first time since the birth. Ariel has such a calming, steady demeanor and she’s very knowledgeable about postpartum recovery and baby care. We hired her for 6 sessions and she would draw me a bath with herbs and essential oils, give me massages, prepare snacks, make tea, do baby laundry and tidy, and care for Lawrence while I napped (bottle feed him, change diapers, and hold him while he napped). She was also an open ear and non judgmental as I processed my experience and emotions. I worked with a different doula for my birth but for our second baby, I would love to work with Ariel. She’s amazing!”
