is a Black & Guyanese (American) theater/visual artist, teacher, abolitionist, writer & birth keeper (doula) based in Flatbush, Brooklyn [Lenapehoking]. She is deeply curious about the ways we heal ourselves and our communities. How can we luxuriate in the layered process of decolonizing the mind, body & spirit in the pursuit of sovereignty and collective liberation? She was a 2017 Lincoln Center Education Fellow where she produced and co-conceived a production of Judith Alexa Jackson’s WOMBmanWARs with Tony Jenkins, Dria Brown and Yel Rennalls. She taught theater to young people of various ages with Brooklyn Arts Exchange & Astoria Performing Arts Center among other institutions. She has experience as a tenant & student organizer [founder of UNCSA Artists of Color]. She has collaborated with The Upstart Creatures as a company member, @Idontwannaseethatbk, The Workshop Theater, The UP Theater Company, The Bellwether Project, NYU’s Musical Theater Writing Program, Nile Harris [(MMM)pzil], Tebogo Malebogo [Inventory], Tij D’oyen [Henny Penny], Dyer Rhoads [Lesson For The Future & Boulder The Beholder], Cricket Brown [Angry Belly & Circus 196977 in residency at Walpole Ontological Lab & Farm] and many other peers on original works. Her voice can also be heard narrating “An Abolitionists Handbook” by Patrisse Cullors and Raven Leilani’s “Luster” [audio file award winner] among other titles.
